EU-only vendors mode

For merchants with strict EU-data-residency requirements, the EU-only vendors mode toggle disables every third-party integration that isn\’t EU-headquartered. When on:

  • MaxMind minFraud calls are skipped — MaxMind is US-based.
  • Groq calls are skipped — Groq is US-based.
  • OpenAI calls are skipped — OpenAI is US-based.
  • The chargeback webhook receivers still work — they only verify signatures, no outbound calls.

Explanations fall back to the deterministic template path, which runs entirely on your server. The MaxMind rule silently returns clean (no contribution). The store keeps functioning at full Lite-mode capacity for free, and at premium-mode minus the three skipped integrations otherwise.

Future EU vendors

We\’re tracking a few EU-based alternatives (Mistral for LLM, Cloudflare Bot Management for IP signals). When we wire them in, EU-only mode will route to those automatically — no setting change required.
