Decisions explained

The decision is what determines what happens to the order. There are four possible verdicts, in order of severity.

Approve

Score is below all three thresholds. The order completes payment normally and is not recorded in the Flagged Orders queue. A row still lands in wfg_risk_scores for dashboard counting, but the merchant never sees it unless they specifically filter for it.

Review

Score crossed the Review threshold but stayed below Hold. The order completes payment and is added to the Flagged Orders queue with decision Review. The customer experience is completely normal — Review is a silent merchant signal.

Hold

Score crossed the Hold threshold but stayed below Cancel. The order is placed on hold, payment is not processed, and the customer sees: \”Additional verification is required for this order. Please contact us to complete your purchase.\” Manual approval is required to move the order to Processing.

Cancel

Score crossed the Cancel threshold. The order is auto-cancelled, the customer\’s payment is not processed, and the checkout shows: \”We were unable to process this order. Please contact us if you believe this is in error.\” The order is fully terminated; restoring it requires manually changing the status in WooCommerce.

Which threshold wins?

Cancel always wins, then Hold, then Review. Setting Cancel = 30 and Review = 80 would cancel a score of 35 (not flag it for review). The thresholds are evaluated top-down on the severity ladder.
