Rule: MaxMind minFraud (premium)

Calls the MaxMind minFraud Score API for every order and converts the response into a weighted rule contribution. You bring your own MaxMind credentials — WooFraudGuard never proxies your API calls.

What MaxMind adds

  • IP reputation across MaxMind\’s global view of fraud signals
  • Email reputation (when MaxMind has signal on the email)
  • Device-flag enrichment
  • A composite 0–100 risk score that maps directly onto the WooFraudGuard score

Setup

See MaxMind minFraud setup for the integration walkthrough. The short version: get a MaxMind license key, paste it into Settings → Privacy & API keys → MaxMind license key, and the rule activates on the next order.

Failure modes

The MaxMind call is wrapped with a 4-second timeout and a circuit breaker. If the API is down or your account is out of credits, the rule returns clean (no score, no error to the customer) and logs the failure. Scoring continues with the remaining rules.
