Activating Your License

Activity Monitor Updated 14 June 2026

A license key unlocks Chada Activity Monitor’s premium features: anomaly detection, custom field auditing, Slack notifications, log archiving, pinned events, and the post activity panel. Without a key the plugin runs in Lite mode with full nine-group logging and standard retention.

Finding your license key

Your key is displayed in My account → Licenses on shop.chadacreatives.com immediately after purchase. It looks like CAM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Click the copy icon to copy it to your clipboard.

Entering the key in WordPress

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Activity Log → License.
  2. Paste your key into the License Key field.
  3. Click Activate.

On success the status badge changes from Inactive to Active and the Licensed features section lists every premium capability available on your tier.

License tiers and site slots

Tier Simultaneous site activations
premium_1 1 site
premium_5 5 sites
premium_unlimited Unlimited

If you reach your slot limit, deactivate the key on an unused site first (Activity Log → License → Deactivate), then activate on the new site.

Keeping the key out of the database (advanced)

For extra security you can define the key in wp-config.php instead of storing it in the database:

define( 'CHADA_AM_LICENSE_KEY', 'CAM-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX' );

When the constant is set the key field on the License screen is read-only and the key is never written to the options table. The constant takes precedence over any key stored in the cam_license_key option.

License server and auto-revalidation

Chada Activity Monitor contacts the license server at https://shop.chadacreatives.com during activation and then revalidates in the background every 24 hours. If revalidation fails (for example, because the subscription has lapsed) the plugin reverts to Lite mode and plugin updates stop until the license is renewed and reactivated.
