What is Chada Activity Monitor?
Chada Activity Monitor is a fast, clean, filterable activity log for WordPress. It records everything meaningful that happens on your site — who logged in, which posts were edited, what settings changed, which plugins were activated — and stores each event in a dedicated database table for efficient retrieval, filtering, and export.
What the plugin logs
Chada Activity Monitor organises every event it tracks into one of nine event groups. Together these groups cover the full lifecycle of a WordPress site.
| Event group | Slug | Example events |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication | auth |
User login, failed login, logout, password reset, application password use. |
| Content | content |
Post / page / CPT created, updated, trashed, restored, permanently deleted. Status transitions (draft → publish, etc.). |
| Taxonomy | taxonomy |
Term created, updated, or deleted across any registered taxonomy. |
| Media | media |
Attachment uploaded, edited (alt text, caption, title), or deleted from the Media Library. |
| Comments | comments |
Comment submitted, approved, unapproved, spammed, trashed, or deleted. |
| Plugins | plugins |
Plugin activated, deactivated, installed, updated, or deleted. |
| Themes | themes |
Theme switched, customizer saved, theme deleted. |
| Core | core |
WordPress core updated, option updated (General, Reading, Discussion, Permalink settings), user created, updated, or deleted. |
| Menus | menus |
Navigation menu created, updated, assigned to a location, or deleted. |
Severity levels
Every event is assigned one of four severity levels so you can quickly identify what needs attention:
| Level | Colour | Meaning | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Info | Blue | Routine activity — nothing unusual. | Successful login, post viewed, comment approved. |
| Notice | Green | Normal but noteworthy changes. | Post published, plugin activated, theme switched. |
| Warning | Amber | Potentially significant actions worth a second look. | Plugin deactivated, option changed, user role updated. |
| Critical | Red | High-impact or security-relevant events. | Failed login burst, admin user created, core update, user deleted. |
Lite tier vs. premium tiers
Chada Activity Monitor works out of the box without a license, logging all nine event groups with standard retention and filtering. A premium license (tiers: premium_1, premium_5, premium_unlimited) unlocks advanced features for teams that need deeper auditing.
